Finding time to volunteer while attending college - you are here

Once you hit college, there are so many opportunities for you to serve. There is government, service organizations, working on campus, internships.  What service do you like doing? I'll bet there are many opportunities no matter where you are. With in a couple of weeks of transferring to Western Washington University, I was hired to work in Resident Housing, joined the Circle K Service Club, and became a lifetime member of Girl Scouts.

By my second quarter I had become Vice President of Service for Circle K, accepted an Internship as an event planner for the United Way, and started training in disaster relief at the Red Cross.

I have just been accepted for a 10 week Internship Rabuor Village Project in Kenya.  I am so excited, I get to work with children.  I'll need help from everyone I know, a little goes a long way.  If you can spare $20.00 it will help.  The total cost of this trip is over $8,000.
